Willowbrook Snow in Summer

Snow in Summer was a long awaited delight! The wait was certainly worthwhile as she is an exceptionally fine alpaca. She is the first daughter of one of our farm favorites, Arialla and our award winning Accoyo Legacy son, Crescent Moon's Titanium.

Snow in Summer, aka Sis, is a robust, healthy, rapidly growing alpaca. At 7 months of age she weighed in at 99#. Of course, since she started life at 24# and went on to gain a pound a day, it's not surprising that she has grown so rapidly! Sis is very well covered with fine, dense and very crimpy white fleece. Her fleece is only what we would have expected from the pairing of her sire and dam. Both her dam, Ari, and her sire, Titanium, were very very fine and uniform alpacas early on and have maintained excellent histograms as they have matured. Sis has the genetics to be a real "one stop shop" for anyone looking for the total package in a light colored animal.

Sis's dam, Ari, has been an excellent example of what you want all your foundation females to do for you. She is a beautiful medium fawn full Peruvian female out of 6Peruvian Alfonso and CPeruvian Blanch. Alfonso is still on the herdsire row in Ohio, continuing to produce finely fleeced colored offspring. Ari,  breeds and catches quickly, carries her pregnancy without incident, delivers big healthy cria, milks like a holstein, and don't forget the end result: gorgeous offspring. If Sis inherits these fine maternal traits, she will be invaluable.

Sis's sire, Crescent Moon's Titanium is an incredibly built proven herdsire. He is producing quality cria with excellent fineness, handle and brightness. He is a herdsire that can produce above and beyond with your best, and produce well above with your more average females. Sis is obviously going to be one of the "above and beyond" females.
