Snowmass Black N' Gold

We are delighted to welcome Snowmass Black N' Gold to our herdsire row. He is  the son of Snowmass Escobar, one of Hemingway's best sons, out of a true black Peruvian import, 4 Peruvian Vircocha, who was selected by Snowmasss Alpacas during the imports and is now deceased. A producer of champion cria, he has a fabulous head, beautiful fleece, exemplary conformation and presence, and personality plus!

Black N' Gold was purchased from Snowmass by Crescent Moon Ranch as a two year old and has been producing show winning cria for them from that time on. Many of his daughters remain at Crescent Moon, and one of his champion sons, Greener Pastures Chocolate Thunder, remains on herdsire row. Scott Miller, in describing Black N' Gold's contribution to the Crescent Moon herd, said,"he added density to our herd, uniformity of crimp, good fineness, beautiful style to his crias and they are characters". Black N' Gold has produced offspring in all colors from, black to white, many of which have been show winners. His show winning offspring have in turn gone on to produce the next generation of show winners. 

Black N' Gold's fleece is dense and uniform throughout with good brightness. He has maintained fineness and uniformity as he has matured with an AFD of 25.3 and SD of 4.6 at age 9, only increasing 3 microns from his second year fleece. We are excited about the color possibilites this exceptional male will add to our herd.
